One of the first things that you need to do is make sure that you are going slow enough – that way you will be able to stop better and ensure that you do not crash into the car in front of you. If you are new to driving in the snow, one thing you want to keep in mind is make sure that you pump your brakes.

Pumping your brakes will not only allow you to avoid skidding but it will also ensure that you stop … really stop instead of sliding all over.

One of the first things that you want to make sure that you do is fill up the oil, the brake fluid and all of the coolant fluids, that way you can really be sure that everything is going to be in tip-top shape there. Next, you want to make sure that your battery is all charged up and that it is in top shape. Next on the list is going to be the drive belt on the engine, you want to make sure that you replace that if it is in bad shape.

Finally, the tires are going to be the last thing that you will need to check out. Make sure that you check to ensure that everything about your tires are good, so you do not get a flat tire on the road. That’s it!
